Laurentian Bank’s “Breakfast with Heart” raises
$9,000
for West Island Community Shares!
“Breakfast with Heart”, the Laurentian Bank’s new fundraising event to
benefit West Island Community Shares, kicked off with great success on January
22nd. With the collaboration of Chez Cora Restaurant on Sources Blvd
(corner of de Salaberry) and the Q92.5, the breakfast raised a grand total of
$9,000.
“Laurentian Bank is committed to lending its support to
initiatives that generate significant benefits for local communities,” said
Roberto Cefaloni, Director, Laurentian Bank. “Supporting West Island
Community Shares is an ideal way for the West Island branches to help our
community grow and flourish.”
“We’d like to extend our thanks to Roberto
Cefaloni, who was the driving force behind this new fundraising event,” said
Caroline Tison, executive director of Community Shares. “Our thanks also go out
to all the staff at Laurentian Bank who worked so hard to make it a
success.”
More than 225 people attended the event and enjoyed one of
four delicious breakfast options generously offered by Hadi El-Duweini of Chez
Cora Restaurant in Dollard-des-Ormeaux. The restaurant also provided all
the smiling, efficient staff for the event. In addition, the Q92.5
graciously offered promotion services in the weeks leading up to the
fundraiser.
West Island Community Shares’ fundraising campaign continues until March 31, 2010. This year’s campaign goal is $700,000.
